This combination is a 3X3 linebreeding to the dam line of my brood bitches, starting from Polka, a longhair out of shorthair parents. Polka’s offspring have been social, flexible, easily to handle, long-lived dogs (several still alive at over 15 years of age!). In addition the pedigree of the future puppies will have some French working shorthair blood and a few males with strong characters from traditional pedigrees. The large amount of shorthair blood keeps the complete inbreeding coefficient stay low for the breed (5 generations <5%, all generations <18%).
These puppies will be suitable for people who want a longhaired Dutch Shepherd with less than average inbreeding, and also wish their dog would have the potential for working together in sport. The puppies could be suitable for people interested in agility, obedience, SAR etc. but they will surely love to dabble in almost every venue. Some of the puppies will be good as “just” active pets and they can also have potential for dog shows, but actual interest in dog sports will be considered as a great bonus. The right homes will be selected based on the needs of each home candidate and the personality traits of the puppies.
As a breeder I’m hoping to consolidate the good traits present in my brood bitches and vitality in this dam line. The goal is to, of course, produce the quality needed to be able to continue this blood line successfully. At the same time I hope to offer other fans of this breed a useful pedigree and some great individuals to bring joy to their owners.
