Midoriya presented himself as a high-drive Dutch Shepherd with excellent grips, intense fighting spirit, solid courage - and, as the cherry on top - the ability to calm down after high-arousal events.Midoriya cleared all parts of the test confidently, showing solid, contact-seeking sociability even under examination, no fear responses, and no need for defensive aggression. Like his two siblings, he found the test more fun than taxing, and showed zero reaction to gunfire.This test protocol describes a strong, confident, and highly driven longhair. He far exceeds the Finnish breed averages in all the important traits, and his full playfulness score (5.0, averaged from all play-related moments) has actually never before been recorded in a longhair litter.Congratulations to Midoriya's owner. While still gripping, fighting and chasing well, his drive display was a little less flashy compared to his explosive siblings. Happy to meet and greet strangers with zero gruffness, he was a bit more unaccustomed under examination, and moving around cost him a point in sociability.With medium startle responses, Link showed up as a dog that will face any threat with his handler. He also showed a little aggression/defense at ghosts, turning into a happy greeting at the big reveal. He showed zero reaction to gunshot in both play and passive phases. As his handler, I was most proud of exactly this "deafness" to gunshot, and his ability to just lie down and relax after high activity moments. Link's scores are above Finnish longhairs in playfulness, and significantly above in sound security. His activity score was a full point calmer than the breed average, which is especially great since longhairs with shorthair backgrounds tend to be a little more restless than "traditional" longhairs.He is my husband's treasure, and a very clear-headed little man. In the lure chase - the section where training most commonly influences behaviour - we saw her interrupt quickly and return to her handler. Maagi showed only mild startle responses and no aggression during the test. She did get distracted with checking a previous test area for toys, so her arrival at ghosts was a bit slow. This is one of the weaknesses of the MH protocol; the score only tells you that a dog arrived slowly, or did not arrive at all, not why it did not arrive. In this case, the dog showed no real fear during the test and cleared all threats without a second thought. There was also no disturbance under gunshot in either the play or passivity section.Maagi's strongest areas were playfulness, curiosity and shot security - all higher or even significantly higher than Finnish averages for the breed.So proud of this spicy but gentle little beauty! ...
